Photographer’s Note
The Bronx River in Bronxville New York taken on a warm spring day.
The Bronx River Pathway is located within the Bronx River Reservation, an 807-acre linear park created as an adjunct to the construction of the Bronx River Parkway that was opened in 1925. The parkway, which has the distinction of being the first parkway in the nation, extends 13.2 miles in Westchester from the New York City line north to the Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.
The Pathway consists of three paved segments: a one-mile loop near Oak Street in Mount Vernon; a 3.6-mile section from Palmer Road in Bronxville north to Harney Road in Scarsdale and a 5-mile section extending from Green Acres Avenue in Hartsdale to Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.
On Sundays during spring and autumn, a portion of the Bronx River Parkway closes to vehicular traffic for the county’s popular Bike & Skate Sundays program.
The map below shows the general location of the pathway. Larger scale maps on the reverse detail the pathway alignment, access points, local roads and nearby landmarks and parking areas.
The Bronx River Pathway is one element of the county’s extensive trail system that also includes the North County Trailway, South County Trailway and the Briarcliff-Peekskill Trailway

Hi Angela, I like the natural frame you've set up by shooting between those branches on the various trees. Now if there was just a little row boat in that frame, with an old guy fishing, nah just kidding. This works well. The colour is great throughout, it looks like spring is finally on the way. The detail is very good throughout as well. Nicely done.
Thanks, John

Hi Angela,
a wonderful photojob, with this landscape (a picture...) at half between the end of the winter and the beginning of the spring.
I like it very much!!!

Bonjour,
belle photo de cet étang pris sous un bon POV qui nous montre bien l' ensemble de cet endroit ou la faune et la flore doivent etre très nombreuses.
Bel effet ces branches a l' avant, elle donne une bonne profondeur de champs.

Hi Angela,
It's a beautiful place in an excellent but I imagine it could be even nicer with a simple white frame. That's because you would only see the small details on your image.
Cheers

Hello, Angela.
I love this one. Lovely soft pastel shades and lovely soft reflections on the water - we can see them all as we draw forward to look through the forground branches which frame the whole picture so well.
Excellent!
Best Wishes,
John.

Hi Angela,
Great capture of the awakening spring colors working so hard to cover the long winter gloom. Lovely soft reflection in the river and a very effective frame of newly budding trees.

Hi Angela!! what a lovely view, in light colors, and I like the trees in the forefround not really covering the landscape.
Beautiful, it gives me a sense of quiet

Bonjour Angela,
Regards.
Daniel.
