I took this shot three years ago, in Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Ideally I wanted to capture the full reflection, but it was windy, the water had other stuff in it that I thought was messy. Therefore, I framed more the trees.
What I found interesting here was the top and the bottom of the shot..almost no colors, or subtle colors. There was only a patch of color in the flowers, which popped out at me. Hope you''ll like it.

Hi Shaeri, how are you?
Very nice photo. It always happens that we want to capture reflections and that day is windy. well, the ripple effect is not bad at all.
Good job as usual.

Daniel

Hello Shaeri -

A very nice spring scene. It never fails that when there is water for reflections there is always a breeze. Well done!

hello Shaeri,
wise words, I hope the spring hears this welcome :)
I like a lot how you have composed the photo, I've always enjoyed strong lines, and here they work very well to separate the colours from the pale sky. well seen and presented :)

with kind regards,
Kristine

p.s. pity there's probably going to be a thunderstorm on Saturday, otherwise the Botanical Gardens would be a great place for mini TE meeting ;)

The spring flowers are very colourful and eye-catching. I actually think the rippled reflections on the wind-blown lake are attractive. Very good spring scene. Well done

I liked that strip of color in the middle of the greyish landscape. I was thinking if a version in b&W with the strip of flowers in color would be interesting too. Nice pov and light

Hi Shaeri,
The hint of reflection is good enough to give the photo an added dimension. Good texture and interesting formations created by the background branches. Well composed and presented. Tfs

Hi Shaeri
What I like here is the fresh new leaves coming out and the myriad of tree trunks and branches. The rippled effect of the water works well to compliment the rest of the image. Now all we need is a youngster peering at themselves in the water :D
Nicely done.

Hi Shaeri,
Lovely shot!!!! The network of the branches look great!!! I think a sunset shot from this place would look wonderful!!! The feel of spring is well portrayed here!!! BTW, is this the same place from where you took the 'How are you' shot?
Regards,
Sagarneel.

The trees created one beautiful natural embroidery in your image
The colorful flowers make a good contrast
I like the peaceful mood

Hello Shaeri,
very nice this Spring shot with the trees and the flower border full of colourful flowers. The reflections on the surface of the water make the capture more attractive.Well done.

Regards,Danos

HI!!

Amazing greenery and perfect mood of spring!! The essence of the gentle weather is reflected well indeed!! Nice capture and great thinking.. Keep posting!!

Sayan

Hi, Shaeri -

I think the wind ripples on the water make it interesting. What bothers me about the wind is that it is absolutely calm when I'm setting up a close shot of flowers, then whips up JUST as I am about to click the shutter! Arrrggghhhhh!

You have nice subtle colors here, and the arrangement of the tree limbs is good, too. It's not as cluttered and disorganized as many I've seen.

Best,
Dan

Hi Shaeri,
a Kind Shot, a nice spring atmosphere.
Pheraps reduction size caused a loss of clearness, but OK also so.
Ciao

Hi Shaeri, that is interesting. I had not noticed before, but perhaps, the way the sap runs in trees there is a time delay with the production of leaves and with colour getting up to the tops.

I have noticed, about this time of year though what I call the "Green Sheen" and you have some of that happening here. To me that's when trees look their best, when the leaves are young and small with that light green colour. If you can catch this in a large forest, with a few thousand trees, it is awesome.

So I see some of this happening now in your shot, with the colourful tulips below. The grey areas on top and bottom provide great framing to this colourful scene. Very nice.

Thanks, John

Hello Shaeri,
I smell spring is in the air from this lovely image well captured!

Hi Shaeri,

In France, where at least on Versailles I find that spring is long to be shown this year… Pretty a succession of plans in this photograph, I like this band of flower particularly coloured. A pretty park where the walk must be pleasant and make it possible to escape from the tumult of the city.

With all my friendships and a very good WE,

Jean-Charles

helo shaeri

nice, as you said - subtle, color work here. i also like the texturized top portion against the dribbled reflection metalic surface-like bottom. not sure about sharpness in this one though. the speed and aperture seem to be alright. could it be a tad of camera shake? not sure about the heavy black frame too. seems too heavy for the fragile nature of the scene.

with warm regards,
kristaps

Hi Shaeri!

Fantastic nature photography, perfect framing and composition everything seems well in order! Beautiful colours, a photo that gives me piece of mind. congratulations!

Hi Shaeri,
Nice nature shot with wonderful spring colors.
well done
take care

Hi Shaeri. This is a very busy shot with lots going on and loads of detail and I think the subtle colours top and bottom help to calm the mood down a little. All in all a wonderful collection of patterns with just enough colour to catch the eye. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Shaeri,
It's the kind of scene that is undoubtedly beautiful, but also prone to cluttered images, which is not the case here, as the compo is very harmonious, with all those levels, each one with its own charm, the smoothly undulated water with wonderful reflections, the white stripe of the border, the colourful line of flowers and then the trees announcing Spring.
A beautiful and achieved photo.
Regards, José.

Hello Shaeri
From the very look of it looked like an old post! Like the layers you got here with the rippled water in the FG, followed by the colours of the flowers & then the trees. Nice work!

Bonjour Shaeri,
avec le printemps et l'été et aussi l'automne, les fleurs vont se succéder, chacune leur tour, les couleurs vont être changeantes. Le printemps est riche en belles fleurs.
Une photo bien nette.
Regards.
Daniel.
