This is one of the sculptures i spotted in the Palace of Fine Arts while on my way to Exploratorium. The feet of the sculpture was kinda dirty. I took this shot after the rain so grass where this sculpture rest is muddy. Seems she had a walk before i took the shot.

In this palace you can find sculptured frieze and allegorical figures representing Contemplation, Wonderment and Meditation created by Ulric Ellerhusen.

About Ulric Ellerhusen (source:wikipedia)
He was born on April 7, 1879 in Waren, Mecklenburg, Germany and came to the United States in 1894. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago under Lorado Taft, and with Gutzon Borglum at the Art Students League, and from 1906 through 1912 with Karl Bitter. [1] In 1915, Ellerhusen contributed unusual inward-looking figural sculpture for the colonnade of Bernard Maybeck's Palace of Fine Arts, working under Bitter, who was the director of sculpture for the San Francisco Panama-Pacific International Exposition (1915). He died at the age of 78.

Miguel the lighting on this sculpture is marvelous! I really love the details rendered on this woman including the soiled feet which give a true to life aspect. Good work!
