Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken from highway 190 on the western side of the Badlands just below Golden Canyon. It shows another angle of colorful rock formations produced from the effects of water in an arid land. Mud and rock carried down the canyon narrows by violent downpours are seen in the foreground. The colorful hills contain conglomerate layers of light-colored deposits of silt and clay.

Hi Gary
I like the layers in the rock in this image and also the textures. The FG is rough and rocky and some of the BG layers look smooth.
Nicely done.

Gary, j'aime ce paysage aride qui ne laisse voir que le minéral. Les montagnes sont superbes sous la belle lumière qui met en valeur les reliefs et les couleurs.

Dear Gary
The shapes of the mountains are so sharp and you captured a wonderful light that gives on the hills giving a three dimensional mood to the mountains. Bravo ihsan
