[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Before and after arriving in Alaska last summer I was warned numerous times that I'd probably would not get a good chance to see Mt McKinley (known as Denali to native Alaskans). Something like 70% of the time this mighty giant is blanketed by clouds and the like. While taking the Alaskan highway up to the park for a few days of camping my girlfriend and I were astonished to see this view. The mountain felt obliged enough to great us and start off what turned out to be a very magical trip.

This is my first attempt at a panoramic stitched together in CS2. This 4 shots stitched together and I'm pretty happy at the end result.

I have been to Denali a couple times and have only seen Mt. McKinley as close as Anchorage (too many clouds). Great memories from here though. Good job on the stitch and it's a good photo.

welcome back to TE! I can imagine what sort of feelings this more than stunning view might have caused. I would have probably have dropped my camera and would be standing there with my open mouth for several minutes. Very good stitch work. The melding is perfect!
Any thoughts about our upcoming TE meeting at Point Reyes in June?

Hi Mike,
It's a shame that you got only 4 points up till now for this wonderful shot. What a view, amazing! Very good stitching. I'm just back from 3 weeks Alaska and Yukon and enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to see Denali like you show us here. Although through the clouds we could see a large part, the top was still hidden. I hope to post some images the coming weeks.
