[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Zion NP

Although not uncommon, snow in Zion doesn't usually stay long on the valley floor. This photo was taken a little over a year ago during one of those snow storms. For some reason I liked the touch of red from the canyon walls against the monochrome of the storm.

Hi Allan.
Great shot, with amazing rock's red paint.
Nice wide-angle picture.
Well done.
Cheers.
Bobo.

Hi Allan.
Impressive rocks and view! Very well captured by you. The red rocks are amazing and the snow/mist that create the gradient effect on the sky is beautiful and makes the composition perfect. Love the tree in the foreground and the beautiful texture and details. Wonderful light and contrast in this one.

Congratulations!
Frida

Hi Allan,
I like this picture alot! It's crisp and the contrast between the red rock and the snow is beautiful.

Great job!

Hi Allan.
Fantastic composition! The variation of the colour of the rock is nicely framed here to create an unusual contrast.

Hi Allan,

I must say I absolutely love this shot. This chrystal sharp forms, this three coloured approach, this sudden disappearance into the void of fog. Whole POV is magnificent and creates excellently composed capture of most pleasing motive. This one is to remember!

Kind regards,
Jeri

hello, this is unusual and beautiful. Well captured. Geraldine

Allan,
You are right, I'm sure, that those little glimpses of red canyon are the thing which really sets this one off; and it's especially nice that the tree creates a division for the top left of frame, which has a little monochromatic design of its own!
Excellent.

Colin

Yes, I love the red rocks against the monochrome of the snow and trees. Also the foggy upper part -- very moody. This is an unusual look at Zion. Thanks for sharing. LIving in Utah, you certainly have a lot of opportunities to practice your photography.

Beautiful composition and light here.. Excellent! Regards, Doug
