The Rockefeller Center christmas tree is an icon of NYC. It is 84-foot-tall. 2007 is the 75th anniversary of the lightening of the tree. Solar energy panels on Rockefeller roof help power energy-saving 30.000 light emitting diode lights on the Rockefeller Center Tree, so the tree is much greener now.
