Day V - 1:35 pm

The Cloister (museum) was built in 1938 to show religious art from the Middle Ages. Most of the art pieces are christian and are installed in a manner suggesting their original functions and situations.

And for an european visitor, it's an interesting experience to think that cloisters or old churches need to be "artificially" built to be seen. And it was strange to imagine what can be the sensation of being such a young country, looking its overseas roots...

J'aime beaucoup la lumière qui répartit son intensité sur 3 plans successifs et qui se suivent de gauche à droite. L'oblique de la lecture donne l'impression de découvrir des pièces présentées en vitrine, mais n'écrase rien. Bien vu !

a strange angle in order to render the crucifixion and the sacrifice οf Jesus.I like the light that falls on the cross and brings out the details of your main theme.Informative your note too.

Photo de classe avec une superbe maitrise de la lumiere. Les tons sont superbes. L'effet avec le title est super bien aussi. original, inattendu, et tres reussi.

un cadrage comme tu les affectionnes, en diagonale avec la croix ca fonctionne bien ici, le coté obscur donne cette ambiance un peu particuliere, lumiére bien maitrisée

Photo pieuse Stéphane,
j'en apprécie les couleurs.
Des lumières difficiles mais tu fais ressortir le sujet dans une exposition parfaite, effaçant pressque l'arrière plan.
L'idée de la diagonale n'est pas mauvaise du tout.

i believe that all these stuff must go back to where they belong... this is sooo stupid of people, even visiting and admiring them in such places where they dont really belong... this is what i call a "stolen past" even if they are brought officially, from where they belong...
this is a good picture though, i like the dim light and the tilt here stephane...

Très interessante l'idée de suspendre le Christ sans tenir compte de l'apesanteur. Ca tient du miracle donc.
Belle lumière qui crée une image très douce et traduit bien le silence et le recueillement qui devaient être dans l'église.Beaucoup de contraste, comme d'habitude et les zones sombres ajoutent beaucoup de mystère à ta photo.
Le Christ semble pencher la tête pour nous regarder...

Belle photo de ce cloitre ou se retrouvent les pieces religieuses intéressantes. Jolies douce couleurs et belle prise qui laisse dans le sombres les parties moins intéressantes pour faire bien ressortir les superbes pièces.

Ca fait art religieux byzantin ici. Original et intéressant cadrage comme tu en es accoutumé. J'aime beaucoup la lumière qui donne un relief agréable et particulier à cette croix en laissant apparaître en arrière plan les peintures. J'apprécie aussi l'équilibre de l'image (tilt "volontaire" mis à part...). Beau travail Stéphane et merci pour la photo bonus.

Hello Stephane
Your image as well as the last para of the note is interesting..yes the image does gives the impression of artwork of the middle ages maybe similar to Modigliani style (in my limited knowledge). The low light works well as we see the details of the statue highlighted. The tilt works well too.

You are rigth U.S is a country relative young, but if you notices is older than Mexico, we get our independence in 1810 and the 1776 I think, how ever they still dont have a strong identidy and is funny how they try to copy things as the old church or the colonial church in Mexico made it by Spain, is so interesting.
