[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
What you see on the right in this image is a boat, arriving back from Japan to deliver more autos from their mainland's factories. The day I spent on the Columbia River's shoreline capturing the ships there was also one motorboat departing to retrieve more goods for future delivery.
You could easily mistake this shape for a modern day Ark that a Man named Noah built to stay the rising waters, just as they are today from the loss of glacial ice in both the Arctic and Antartic zones, as well as our beautiful glaciers as they pour down and bring ruin to all that lies in their path.

Hi Steven, beautiful one, with amazing pastel tones, good light, quite good quality with a bit too mucj of sharp and amazing reflections too.
thanks,ciao

Hi Steve,
Interesting to see such big ship sailing next to trees, as i always imagine them going on the oceans. Colors are very nice and the reflections give a nice depth.
Cheers,
Deniz

Hi Steven,

I like the surreal look of this photo very much, nice reference to that Ark in Genesis, but it was actually Noah who built the ark, and Moses was the 10 Commandments guy ;)

Good job!

Peace,
Kaye

Hi steven

Wonderful sunset colours. I have to agree with Paulo, that there is some slight oversharpening. But superb reflections, & composition. Tfs!

Hi Steven,
It's interesting to compare these two ships: The one moving cars that has volume maximized, and the more traditional looking ship. Great pastel toned light, and well working reflections.
Kari

Steven - a different tone of colours to you normal superb "blue Skies" shots. The pastel colours here have a subtle tone and the compsition and reflections are well handled.
Regards Colin

Hi Steve,
I have to say this series of yours is a real pleasure to watch! Both romantic and realistic, with showing the daily life on a river, I like the approach; great diffused and gentle colors here, beautiful light...I like the diagonal, the touches of stronger colors here and there!

TFS, Warm regards
Have a great day:-)
Michèle

This picture is ship shape! Well framed. The navigation marker and it's reflection with what appears to be an Ospry nest on it makes this composition special.

It is also nice that the boat captains kindly painted their hulls red and blue to make a better picture for you.

Hi Steve,
Beautiful and special photo. Interesting, warm tints. The water than the mirror. Great shot.
Well done,
Zsú

Hello Steve,

Magnifique paysage, avec ces deux bateaux bien éclairés. Superbe lumière aussi.
Marie

Steve,
outstanding mood. The tranquility with the reflections on the water and all these colors - awesome! My only question is the symmetry between the sky and water. I probably would have pushed the sky to 1/3 and the water to 2/3, but really nothing that makes this shot less good.

Hello Steven,
I was away from TE for a couple of days, but I see that you filled your gallery with amazing shots.
The soft colors and the interesting reflections on the water adds an oil painting and Noah's Ark effect.
According to the legend; the Noahs Ark is located i the skirts of the Mount Ararat in the Agri-Dogubeyazit province of Turkey. Maybe a reason for you to visit Turkey someday:))
With my best wishes, friendly
Sibel

Hola Steve,
Bella toma con estupendos colores muy logrados para darle ese aire especial que tiene la foto, que como te dije en la anterior que te voté, parece un óleo. Bien hecho.
Cordialmente
Charo

Hi Steven,
The delicate gradations of color in the sky and water and the stunning rerflection make this photo beautiful in spite of the sad story and the unbeautiful frieghters.
