I like the crowded and rushed feel of this place and the intersting note that makes it all so relevant. I like the composition and the pov

Hello Tom.
A very busy composition with lots to take in. I like the point of view and the division of the composition into two halves: lobster traps and lobster boats. Very good colours and clarity.

Hello Tom,
This is really excellent work! I like the way that you didn't try to stylize this theme too much and pretty it up with a touristy closely cropped and carefully manipulated image. This shot is the real deal. All of the activity and the interesting layers of lobster traps is very interesting both visually and as an editorial piece. This would make an excellent photo for a magazine article about lobster fishing. The layered effect is outstanding!

Hi Tom,
Still remember my days in the US when I used to visit NH and ME in summers. Maine lobster is one of the things I miss the most. Cool shot of Bass Harbor with all the cages and boats. I like the composition and colors, which came out fine despite the haze. Regards,
Hakan

Hi Tom,
Your photo really documents your title the way your framed the FGF bank of lobster traps against the lobster boats moored in the harbor. I also like the classic wharf and buldings in the BG. Interesr5ting note that most whates are killed by oil tankers, I don't doubt it at all.

Hi Tom,
A pretty busy image but wow, does it represent the lobster business or what? Good colors, very good details, and well managed light. TFS. Gerald

Hi Tom
Fantastic shot of the cages, so many and colorful of them stacked high up, makes it very interesting for you to capture.
It goes well with all the boats and surrounding.
Well done. TFS

This photo reminds me of a Grandma Moses painting because it does such a great job of capturing small town life. Nice work, nice colors!

Hi Tom,
That is a lot of cray pots ... hope they don't overfish the area. Here in NZ, commercial and recreational fishermen are regulated using the quota system. Nice capture of a daily life scene. Good overall contrast and color saturation. Your notes are very informative too. Well done! tfs

Hi Tom,
Interesting your capture because it has a lot of details about the lobster fishing as traps, boats and the others things. I liked these yellows traps on the left because this adds more intensivity for the picture. Good POV and frame, and your note is very informative, too. Well done, Regards, Consuelo

hello, tom
a great lobstering shot. i love the busy harbor-side atmosphere and your story too. on a different note, i guess, i would have attempted to zoom in just on the lobster-traps. it seems you would be able to fill the frame with them letting their colors and texture to play to the fullest. the boat scene behind the traps is very tempting though too.
my compliments and TFS

You convey an effective sense of color and hubbub here, Tom. In doing so, I think you captured some of the essence of a Maine waterfront. I like the way the traps in the foreground lead the way and lend perspective while you also show all that's going on in the background. Nicely done. -- Jim

Tom,
a quite descriptive shot of this little lobster fishing town. The colorful and busy foreground provides a godd introduction to the boats in the foreground. I wonder how it looks know during winter.
