Photographer’s Note
As the Sun was moving toward the west, shadows were getting long, creating a unique view of Mammoth Springs in Yellowstone Park. In the winter the steam from the springs is much more profound. I really enjoy Yellowstone in the Winter , the crowds are down, the silence is wonderful.
My Daughter Shannon and family live in the park, so I have an ulterior motive to visit. Thanks Shannon for the great visit and for telling me about Trek Earth.

Hi John,
Great light mangement; the long shadows on the pristine snow and the steam glowing in the sunlight are magical. What a lucky daughter!! Welcome to TE.
I expect Yellowstone is much nicer with less snowmobile presence. When I was there it felt like being dropped into an angry bee hive but I there had been some limits.

Hello John and welcome to TE,
Very beautiful image of Mammoth Springs you show us here. I like particularly the fully lighted steam rolling over the hill. In my opinion it is a pity that the blue tones are a bit too heavy due to white balance set to automatic I presume. Once the white balance adjusted in a workshop, your image looks more natural I think.

Hi John,
very beautiful! I like a lot the "blue mood" and the low light with the long shadows it creates and the way it hits the steam.
Well done!
Gio
