Photographer’s Note
The Browns Point lighthouse is pretty inconspicuous and looks very much function over form (although it was no doubt more picturesque back when there was glass instead of gray-painted plywood in the windows). Browns Point is located across Commencement Bay from downtown Tacoma. This view, though, is looking across Puget Sound toward Vashon Island and Quartermaster Harbor. From here, you can see the Vashon-Pt. Defiance ferry (not pictured -- it'd be too small anyway) and trans-Pacific freighters heading into the Port of Tacoma. You also see a lot of Air Force transports (C-17s) heading to McChord AFB.
Didn't see many photos from the Tacoma area here on TE, so thought I'd offer this one. The horizon is in the foul zone and the shot is probably a little subject-light, but I'm not sure if a freighter in the mid-ground would've added much. I like the different color layers, though.

Hello Brian,
Wonderful view of bay with untouched natural colors. The Light House; Simple, but adds great value to your frame while you using green ground, lower located sea and silhouettes at horizon. Sky is beautiful. The visitor adding life and he is helping us to scale your frame. Well done.
Friendly Regards,
Ertugrul

Hi Brian,
The framing is excellent with the lighthouse to one side while the overhanging limb and the walker help frame this lovely view. From the thumbnail, I recognized Puget Sound; however, I would never have recognized this as Tacoma. My recent experince has been I5 and the airport. Excellent note. Wishing you health, love & joy in the coming year, Pat
