[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Alcatraz sits in the middle of San Francisco Bay and now is a popular tourist attraction. It is a strange to think of it has a prison housing the most dangerous criminals in US history.

This is a panoramic shot composed of eight shots.

It suits the panoramic presentation. I am curious. Do you need eight shots stitched together to get this all in from where you took it? I appreciate the work involved and your PP always looks like it was never done if you know what I mean.

Hi Roger
It reminds me of the movie Escape from Alcatraz with Clint Eastwood. Very relevant panoramic format. Flying birds had a seashore atmosphere to the scene. This place is a "must see" by any tourist visiting the region.

Roger,

Wonderful panoramic of Alcatraz, it the best overall view of it I’ve ever seen. My quick question is from where did you take the photo, to get it so close with a great detail? If you took them on a boat, it would be very hard to stitch 8 shots together, since the boat would be moving. Anyhow, congratulation! However you did it. You master the stitching skill. I thought I was pretty good, you are better. I bow to you. I do have some photos I took in SFO that I stitch together from 5 shots. I will be posting them in the future.
