I would call it a natural posed shot, because expressions are lively (monkey too). Technically perfect (your D100 did well with the complicated vest texture!)

I'm not convinced by that background, is it the original or has it been butchered from another shot?

Having said that, its a funny shot - is the bloke a relative of Santa Claus?

It's a nice sharp & clear portrait, well done! (Disguised Santa? ;-)
But I think the background looks weird... Colours? Blur? I can't get it.
