Wanapum Dam
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The breathtaking cross at Vantage, on the Columbia river. Down the river is the Wanapum dam, named after the Wanapum indians. About 60 of them still live on military land a few miles down the river, on the opposite side.
The small city of Vantage (also opposite side, barely visible) was moved on higher ground as the dam was built, and so were some Wanapum petroglyghs blasted from the rocks now submerged.
You can still see the old road dissapearing straight into the river. |

Hi Daniel.
Nice shot of the Vantage Bridge and the Columbia river. You can tell by the shot you took there is a haze on the river. Good work. :)
