[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We are in the middle of a series of storms which in a few ways are good. The ground is wet, the colors are saturated and we have generally cloudy conditions which give nice even diffuse light.

This is shot with a 50mm F1.4 lens which is inexpensive, incredibly sharp and very light. The lens is also incredibly fast. I am wondering if I can choose the right prime lens and use it all the time. It seems that if you can stitch photos together, you can get any scene using a prime...what do you think?

Hello Roger,
very good composition and pov, excellent sharpness and great depth of field, lovely colors and good light.
Angela

Beautiful long shot. The backgriund is clean and super. The fence again give a special and exact effect . bravo réal.

A nice diagonal line created by the fence that leads the eye to the farmhouse. The little shrub on the lower right adds a little balance and the colours are as you say well saturated. As for the prime lens yes you will achieve some excellent shots but you spend more time in front of the computer. That's a lot of PP and stitching. I also think back to when I was photographing in the dunes at Death Valley last year I was able to get a lot more variety of compositions in the short time that I was there by having a telephoto lens.

Hi Roger,

A really well composed shot. The placing of the fence is superb and works really good as lead in to the farm buildings and the mountains in the background. TFS!

Cheers,

Ulf

Hi Roger

I like the way you composed this shot at diagonal for fencing, and leading to the buildings at far right.

Very nice green pasture and contrast. Lovely work. TFS

Emilius

Hello Roger,
I like the fence leading my eyes to the farm in the back!
I like the composition, with the view to the rolling landscape...
Interesting colours... for January, hehehe!
Greetings,

Hi Roger,
Nice composition, with a good sense of depth and superb colors. The grey punishing clouds in the sky look superb.
Best regards. Salvator.

Hello Roger

Thanks to visit my gallery and to allow me to know yours. Your samples landscapes and very pretty rural aspects of the USA.
it enchants the composition and depth to me of this taking; it seems to me a beautiful place to rest and to enjoy the nature. Great balance, harmony, and contrast.

John
