Photographer’s Note
This is most likely a 1938 Pontiac four-door sedan which makes it 70 years old this year!
'Pontiac', now a division of General Motors, started in 1893 in Pontiac, Michigan, as a company that made horse-carriages. The Pontiac Buggy Company, as it was then called gave birth to the Oakland Motor Car company in 1907. Oakland was then purchased by William Durant of General Motors and produced its first car in 1926 which was sold at a price tag of $825.
