This is a different view of Mt Rainier from most of the ones we see. Is this from the Carbon River entrance? When we were there we walked along by the Carbon River to the glacier there. The light/shade contrasts are beautiful, and the fast-flowing river in the foreground works well in the composition.

A magnific place!. Beautifull colours and light. But I don't know why it look like if a pp was done separatly between moutin and sky from other part of picture. How to say : "settings are just like if it was to different pictures". Any way still pleasant to look at.

Hello Imre,

Sensational! There is a strong appeal here for lovers of wilderness like myself. I would imagine that this peak is not far from Mt. St. Helens, sitting on the same fault line? I hope for the people of Seattle that this giant does not wake up for a while! Congratulations Imre, the colours really define the beautiful composition, as do the patches of subtle filtered light. The water movement created by the reasonable slow shutter is chaotic and sharply contrasts with the serene quietness around it - a good feature adding movement and life. Exceptional qualities regarding sharpness, light management and saturation, a delicate and beautiful scene. TFS.
