I know I haven't been around here too much lately, and I miss everyone, as well as all the lovely photos. I've just been really busy and haven't had time to even take many photos. It also seems that most of what I take looks terrible, so I end up NOT posting anything.
I took this photo on a very WET hike I took yesterday. I know it's not a great photo, but it has some charm for me. This section of North Bonneville has changed many times over the years I've lived here with the building of the Bonneville Dam. I'm not sure how long this house has been here, but it just looked like an old farmhouse to me nestled into the side of Hamilton Mountain like it is.
I converted it to black and white to give it an older more nostalgic feel. I'll post the original color one too, let me know what you think. |

Happy New Year Lori,
I like this shot with the clouds making the background disappear into thin air. There is excellent balance in the scene, and those trees are great. Either in B/W or color this image is excellent, one of the better images you've taken in my eyes.
Happy New Year to you and family...
Steve

Hello Lori,Happy New year to you and your family,i realy like your photo,i think that that it probably works in black and white better than colour ,i to have been out walking the last few days and i have not seen the sun very much so like you i also try them in b&w and they are much better ,i have often looked at you and your sisters site as i know your area a little a year last september i stayed in riverside lodge in Stevenson for a few days and explored the length of the Gorge,i also love your photos on the other trek sites bye Barrie
A good B&W shot. The misty clouds in the background are great.
Regards, John.
