I was looking at your Chrysler Building theme, and I like this photo the best. The dark tones are wonderful, and the different POV, looking from the east, forms great patterns of lines and windows. The Chrysler Building is shining so brilliantly against the marble sky. It is truly a dramatic view.

The Chrysler building, isn't it? Strong black and white.
I'm wondering about one thing; How far away is the building in the background, with Metlife on it. With a shallower DoF would it have been possible to give less emphasis to that building? Right now, it seems to merge a bit with the Chrystler building. But still a very nice black and white!

c'est un honneur pour moi que tu m'aies dédié cette merveille de photo.
Elle est fantastique, j'aime comment le Chrysler Building se détache sur les édifices qui l'entourent, certains si impressionnants comme le Met Life, mais il continue de dominer le paysage urbain du Midtown.
La géométrie de cette architecture nous permet de jouir d'un fort graphisme que le N & B complète avec un bon effet des années 50.
Merci beaucoup par ta gentillesse, c'est une grande photo qui augmente ma liste de favorites.
Ah! et aussi il m'honore que tu définis ce type de photos comme de Josepade ......

Je n'étais pas photographe à l'époque je regrette donc de ne pas avoir pu "tirer" le Chrysler Building qui est pour moi le plus beau de NY que tu rends ici merveilleux dans ce ciel et cet environnement métallique

It's understandable your preferences for these buildings and specially for this, it's really beautiful, and your B&W shot works very well, it's emerge from the others, almost confounded with them but finally it became the center or the sight for its highness and overall for its original peak! Very good shot, with splendid management of lights!

Hi JB,
A famous building taken from a great pov but even more in a kind of toning which i very much like to see. There are hard contrast lines around the buildings so you worked on the sky with clouds i think, but still i like to see this image. A real good one, especially on that colour.

une photo qui me fait penser aux belles années de la photographie noir et blanc,faite à la "chambre technique" ou au "folding" des années 50 ans en tout cas ce cliché en à la qualité "pro" une très bonne image bien nette, bien contrastée et bien orthogonale à la composition parfaite on ne peut pas ajouter plus car je n'ai plus de mots me permettant encore plus d'élonges.
si ce n'est tous mes meilleurs voeux pour l'an neuf avec encore plus d'exellents clichés comme à ton habitude.Henri

Hello JB,

Incredible capture of the 'Queen of Skyscrapers'. It would have to be one of the most attractive buildings in the world. Amazing to think the Chrysler Building is about 76 years old! The top of the tower is all aluminium, and at the time of construction this was a rare material - almost worth the same as gold. It was a big expense but it certainly leaves a lasting impact. The image is deservingly black and white; it offers a certain class and improves the depth and definition. A really beautiful shot, hope to see this view someday!
