A good comparison, with the boulder and Boulder. Well placed shadow as well. Unfortunately the haze in the background steals away a little of the detail, but you've captured a nice winter scene nonetheless.

Nice contrast this boulder which captures the hot sun against a cold winter scene. I also like the composition with this fence crossing the picture in a nice diagonal.

I have been to Boulder for many times and the real boulder is very intersting to be put in the photo. And the fense lead the eyes to to far city. It really makes me miss Colorado where I used to live for 6 years.
