A colorful car in a colorful street Photo

Photographer’s Note

Another image form my walk in Haight street, the last place I visites during my stay in San Francisco last June. I really enjoy this place with all the colorful stores and victorian houses. I hope to be able to pass a little of this 'peace-and-love' mood that still can be felt in this place, an heritage from the 60's when San Francisco was the center of the hippie mouvement and Haight street was its center.
On the WS another colorful view.

'If there's any area of San Francisco that evokes images of the long-gone '60s hippie culture, the Haight is it. Fragments of that flower-power, incense-burning, acid-dropping, tie-dye-wearing, peace-and-love-vibing era can be purchased at smoke shops and Eastern-influenced outlets bearing names like Dreams of Kathmandu, Pipe Dreams and The Love of Ganesha. But save for a few hippie relics, the Haight today is a whole new scene. Exclusive boutiques, high-end vintage-clothing shops, second-hand stores, Internet cafés and hip restaurants have all settled in, making the Haight one of San Francisco's commercial centers.'

Great photo. nice colors and POV. This is such a cool street. It looks like you can take a lot of different photos. Many colorful posibilities!!!!

Ici, cette devanture de magasin très colorée est très attrayante,
Je trouve très amusant la petite voiture jaune stationnée :o)

o colorido aqui está fantástico e atraente! Você fez alguma desaturação parcial? O fato é que esses contrastes de cores vivas e acinzentadas estão perfeitos. Beleza de composição!

Olá Flavia,
esse estilo hippie é bem legal mesmo, e o carro combina com a loja, mas acho que se fosse uma daquelas Kombis todas coloridas e enfeitadas da época ficaria mais interessante ainda! Se tiver tempo assiste o filme "Bem Vindos", têm uma Kombi bem interessante, além de ser um bom filme, é sueco.

Belas cores, Flávia. O seu olhar sempre atendo não poderia mesmo deixar passar uma profusão de cores como essa. Além do mais, este "veículo" estranho vale o registro.

The contrast between the bright colours and the dull grey is quite astounding, so much so that at first I thought you had tried some partial desaturation. Very well chosen perspective. And the two pedestrians are perfectly placed. Very nice work. Best regards, Roberto

Une rue animée, une devanture colorée, devant laquelle est venue s'installer une voiture aux couleurs bien vives. C'est très bien vu !

Foto muito interessante dessa típica paisagem. O "papa-quarto" (parquímetro - papa quarto de dolar, conforme apelido de um irmão meu) não deixa negar a origem.
