Photographer’s Note
Today we had some trees removed. I was so impressed with the knowledge the crew had about trees and the correct way to tie large branches off safely as they cut.
This is one of the tree guys, just back down on the ground after sawing off a big limb about 30' up in the air. He'd just slid down to the ground using his safety rope and was retrieving the rope from the tree when I shot this. You can see his safety harness around his waist and legs; the trees were slippery with rain today, and several times he was thankful for the protection offered him by his harness and ropes!
His is not a job for the faint of heart (or anyone afraid of heights).
Cropped, changed to greyscale and added border in Irfanview 3.91.

I like the picture linked to your TL picture of the big limb - they makes a neat story together. I also like that you got the action blur in his left arm and rope. You include a lot of details about the job with the 2 pictures and notes. Just a question, why did you opt for B&W?

I wish there would be alittle more details on the top side of the photo, but I think you captured him in a perfect pose with a great expression.
The fact that hey have to climb trees is very appealing to me (i love heights) and I almost crashed the car recently as I watched the eucaliptus in town getting trimmend.
