Three Mountains in Autumn
Horseshoe Park
Rocky Mountain National Park
To be specific ... from left to right:
Mt. Chapin (12454 feet - 3796 meters)
Mt. Chiquita (13069 feet feet - 3983 meters)
Ypsilon Mountain (13514 feet - 4119 meters)
If you enter Rocky Mountain National Park from the North entrance station .. you round a couple corners and this meadow comes into view .. Along most of the Horseshoe Park meadow stopping is prohibited since it contains some watering holes and ponds frequented by the parks population of big horn sheep.

Beautiful shot, John!!
The color and clarity is just brilliant and I love the way the brightly colored band of trees divide the foreground and the mountains. I like the shdaow and light falling across the mountains, too. Wonderfully done!! Thanks and have a great weekend,

Hi John, such a wonderful place, a place to have a horse and to ride around.
The light play comes superb, all parts are ideal written, the colors are so nice, the snowy peaks are very clear to see, all the contrasts work fantastic.
Have a ice time.

Hello John,
It's a beautiful landscape, esp. with fall colors. But it's the contrast that has drawn me to it. The foreground with scattered trunks is nice, too. Regards,

Hi John,
a clear and bright autumn capture with a background by those mountains which is lovely. The large cloud shadow is interesting, looks a bit like a deer head of an elk. Great sharpness and and wonderful colours.

Hi John,
The bright yellow aspens are wonderfully complimented by the beautiful blue and white sky and the rugged mountains in between make a lovely contrast. The scattered driftwood and the soft shadows on the mountain are very good additional elements to this pleasing composition.

Bonjour John,
des lumières très spéciales et un paysage qui touche un peu à l'irréel, surtout des lumières et couleurs qui émanent des arbres à mi plan.
Un bon paysage de nature sauvage chapeauté par un magnifique ciel.
With my best regards.
Daniel.

Hi John,
wonderful colors and clarity, as usual.
And I particularly like the wide open field stretching all the way up to midground. It gives a great idea of space to the onlooker, while leading the eye towards those wonderful mountains.
Excellent effort.
Hugs,
Fulvio.

Hello John.
Very lovely. Great strong autumn colours. Awesome POV. I really love those mountains and I like the contrast between the lovely trees and the dead wood in the f/g. Very nice, well done. Have a good week.

Hallo John!
What a wonderful and for central European eyes unfamiliar landscape! These yellow "spots" in front of the darker background look truly great. I like the a bit snowy ridges - the show what is ahead ...
Greetings from autumnal grey Germany - and have a nice Sunday!

Hi John,
A well thought out composition of meadow, forest, mountain and sky. The two most striking elements for me are the way the skyline of mountains seems to pile up into the the clouds and the intermingling of aspen gold and evergreen.

Not much to say here but well done! Now your are making me feel bad that I missed this falls color it must have been spectacular. How did the San Juan's do this year? Did you get to any other location other than RMNP?
Thank you for sharing.

Hello John,
I notice the mountains in Colorado are different from the Canadian Rockies. The view here is excellent. The bright colours of Autumn create a nice contrast against the brownish texture of the mountains and blue sky. Beautiful place :-)
