Jim,
I love working boats and ships so I am going to comment. The color and detail are great but the composition is off I think. In my opinion the cutter should have more room in front of her than behind, and secondly I think I would crop it to cut out both sky and water, panorama like. I like the way you handled the black and white in the picture, that is a very difficult accomplishment sometimes.

Hi James,
While I agree with greg about leaving space, you've captured fine detail in this Coast Guard Cutter. The black hull would seem to indicate that it is a buoy ternder, but I don't see the necesary booms for this work.
As a former 'Coastie,' I am sorry to see the direction the Coast Guard has taken: with less emphasis on search and rescue and more on drug interdiction.
