Photographer’s Note

Here I am standing on a rocky point overlooking the Coe glacier far below me. "Move farther out!" my climbing partner says. So I put my foot on a section of the point that is already cracked almost clean through. "Oh come on! Move farther out!" He says. It is a grand view indeed. Needless to say I did not move farther out. The elevation of this image is at about the 8,500 foot level. We were climbing the Sunshine route.
