Rising from the Prairie

| A patch of grassland in Chicago's Montrose Point. The Point serves as a bird sanctuary that attracts tens of thousands of migratory birds of more than 300 different species. They stop here for rest, food and shelter. This is the 'meadow' part of the point where at a certain point, you can see the city rising from behind. |

Hi Ken,
Interesting shot, colorful, perfect for the Yellow Collection! ;)
It looks pixelised in the bottom line, probably because you had to downsize it to post it on TE.
Anyway, congratulations for this good shot, very original.
Regards
Thomas
Hello! Very original view on the Chicago downtown. Nice composition and POV of this picture. Thanks for sharing! Andrzej
I like how you did the point of view. I would have tried to raise the horizon a bit more, so to have less sky and more grass, but the contrast is very nice as it is. I also might have tried to change the exposure to try and get the grasses more in focus (assuming it is not due to resizing to meet TE rules).

This is a really original pic. I've never quite seen a skyline depicted in this manner before. While Robert's advice is a good one, I don't think the focus matters greatly here. The surprise of the skyline growing out of the yellow field simply steals the show! Well seen and done!
Best,
Mikkel
