Photographer’s Note
Finally. . . after driving in hours of rain, on a dirt highway, through the mountains in the Northern Slope of Alaska, we were out of the storm. I spied this beautiful rainbow and wanted to capture its glow.

Hello Sharon,
Welcome to Trekearth. You've made a debut with a surrealistic image, where the pot of gold clearly resides. The two vehicles on the roadway add scale to the exquisite image. But...it really deserves to be presented in a larger format. If you use photoshop, by saving it at a lower quality rating, 8 on a scale of 12, you would have been able to get the full 800 pixels in the vertical direction. I use a Nikon D70 (not the D70s) with the same lens, and indeed it is a very good combination. To get an idea of maximum size, take a look at my last post of the "Angry Seas."
Warm regards and welcome!
