Cougar, Mountain Lion, Florida Panther, Puma
This particular Cougar is named "Takini" which in Lakota language means "survivor". She lives in Portland, OR with her friend, another Cougar, named Chinook.
More and more run-ins are happening with these big cats in Oregon. These two are in the Oregon Zoo. Many are not so lucky and end up dead. Not that getting stuck in a zoo is lucky. But both cats were victems of getting too close to urban population centers.
