Photographer’s Note

Pictured is Rimrock Lake on US Hwy 12 about 40 miles west of Yakima. This is my small aluminum boat and our camp-site at Silver Beach this past week. Rimrock Lake is a man made reserviour built around 1900 to supply irrigation to the Yakima Valley and is know for the recreation and fishing it offers. Rimrock Lake has been the most frequented camping spot for my family through the years. See the similar picture posted under my treklens name "Tim" entitled Rimrock Lake Washington.

Beautiful landscape and great colours. I like the composition but I dont' like the red tent: it is a little distracting.

Très jolie prise, couleurs éclatantes mais naturelles toutefois, parfaite mise au point. Il me semble cependant que le lac n'est pa horizontal et pencherait légérement sur la gauche.

I like the red tent. Without it, the picture I think would be too ordinary.

I like the tent too, Tim, and the boat as well. Beautiful place and a lovely shot. The horizon could do with a little correction but otherwise very nice.

Pretty small,la composition seen is beautiful like the colors, of beautiful details has to look at.

Very nice, Tim. A great colorful view across Rimrock Lake with a good depth towards the background. I think the boat and the red tent both make good foreground elements to balance and add interest to your composition. A beautiful spot, I sure hope I'll be able to see Washington state again sometime in the future.

Hie again Tim. Glad to see posting you again. I pretty much know a lot about Yakima through you than most other parts of the US.
I never much like fishing but seeing this blue lake and its surrounding, I could picture myself on the lake getting started on fishing. You sure got a nice place to sit back here Tim. And the red tent.Somehow it adds a sense of dramaticism to a rather peaceful and quiet ambience here. God's best to you Tim.

One of the things that really captivates me in North America are these lakes... I really wish one day I may paddle in some of them!

About the photo I like the composition very much although the red tent (?) is a bit distracting. The light is excelent.

wow, you're offering us a fantastic scenery here. But in addition to the great composition, I really enjoyed the color tones in this photo, very well saturated and contrasted.
excellent idea to show the tent and some human activity.
you have a beautiful collection. and I look forward to seeing your photos.

Great Photo. Use to fish Rimrock Lake a lot when I lived in Yakima.
