I love this shot. great job with detail of the wood. The tones are brillantly preserved and I think your contrast is mainted well with this scan. I like your composition as well. the sail on the ship to the right give good direction and covering of the not so lucky preserved ship on the right :)
thanks
michael

Can a simple photograph evoke the emotions...?
Certainly it can...
And my emotions right now are anger against myself...
I've been there not very long time ago (2005) and ...I didn't see it !!!
Now...The the worst act of dumbness you can imagine...
What a place...!
What a splendid object..
Oh, well... They say there is always another time...

Stay well, Chris

This is a fantastic and splendid picture showing the time, space and imaginating the stories of the seas.

Thanks to share Mario

Ola Chris bonita composiçao com estes dois barcos , gostei muito das cores e dos reflexos sobre a agua , bom enquadramento da foto , parabens!!!
Um abraço Gonçalo

Oh wow, I wish I'd seen this pic in 1980, I'd have gone to see if they were still there. Nicely framed and good PoV, and a pretty good scan too. Seems like our photographic history is pretty similar, reading your intro.

Totally cool Chris.. never seen anything like it.

Chris,

A wonderfully evocative picture. What can I say, except it is stunning! I'm not a professional photographer, but I know when I see something good. This is beyond good.

Hello Chris
These boats are like fantomes, which would come to haunt banks of Maine
in a friendly way
Laurent

nice picture! I like the composition, the ship on the left shows the destiny of the ship on the right, and we all know time does terrible thing to all the living things!

Simply Fantastic. The composition is wonderful and reminiscent of a movie set. Excellent handling of the lighting. Well done.

Splendid, you found the perfect subject but you also represented it very well ! Great atmosphere, bravo !
Cath.
