Dodgers vs. Mets
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Baseball: America's traditional pastime (with emphasis on "traditional"). The recent decades have witnessed the rise of other sports, namely the National Football League (NFL), to the most-popular status. The National Basketball Association (NBA) and NASCAR also compete for fans' dollars.
This shot was from a game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets, teams representing two of America's biggest cities - and markets.
To those unfamiliar with the the sport, the two teams probably have weird names. What is a Met? What is a Dodger? Met is short for Metropolitan, while "Dodgers" reflects the history of the team. The Dodgers originally came from Brooklyn, where fans had to dodge trolleys to get to the game.

My seat was behind home plate, and unfortunately in this picture you can see the net that protects fans from foul balls. |

Hey Wei,
Your POV makes a great 'screen' texture, those grid lines makes the photo aligned...the 'All American Favorite Pastime' well presented!
All the best!

Hi, great to see another shooter of pro sports games on TE. :) Fantastic seats and vantage point here, the net, though a little distracting, adds to you note. I think the fact you included the famous Dodger Stadium scoreboard was a good choice, as well as the gap in the stands in the outfield we always see on tv.
Hi there Wei. Wonderful shot. Great colours and superb sharpness. Possibly the whites are a little over-exposed. I actually like the view through the netting.
Well done.
Regards,
Andrew
