Photographer’s Note
As above...so below.
Capitol Reef National Park.
Taken from a location very close to the previous posting - Evening Castles - a huge bank of cloud lingers over the Waterpocket Fold in the last rays of the day; it's strange and fantastic formations in some way mirroring those on the land.

Colin

Hi Colin,
Another great 'dim' photo from you. It's amazing how you captured at the same time the blue sky, the lit rocks, the stormy clodus, and the shadowed rocks. I was wondering if that white stuff on the rocks was snow, but your picture was taken in May, so I guess it's just sand.
nice work, TFS,

Hello Colin -
There is so much to see and photograph here it is hard not to get a good image. You have captured some of that magical light that occurs in and around the canyon country at sunset. This is a nicely balanced image between the sky and dappled light on the Waterpocket. There are details in the shadows and that makes this image really work. Well done!
Thank you for sharing.

I like this one even more than your last one. The clouds are so beautiful. Virga is one of my favorite things to see in the desert. The lighting here is very interesting once again. This time it’s the clouds that are lit up, while the rocks are partially in shadow. Great depth and composition just like your last post.

Colin, Great capture, there is so much detail and the color is rich as well, the lines conflicting and converging, great capture.

Hello Colin, you really had very successful time in US, judging by the wonderful result of your photos. This one stands out again for its dramatic atmosphere created by those stormy clouds, just perfectly positioned above those rocks. Excellent shot. Lucie

Weather and variable light combined with this landscape and your composition of the entire thing was excellent.
