Photographer’s Note
This photo is of the mountain known as South Sister. The location is in central Oregon along the Cascade range. The lake is Sparks lake. I was walking along the Ray Atkinson trail when I took this shot. This is an extremely volcanic area with dozens of small cinder cones and 3 strato volcano's over 10,000 feet within just a few miles of each other. It is all part of the Ring of Fire. This is a great arc of volcanoes that streatch 40,000km from the southwest Pacific up along east Asia, around the arctic, down the north American coast into South America. 90% of the worlds earthquakes happen along this ring.

Hello Scott
Very nice landscape,
the light is very athmospheric and helps to bring nice contrast and depth to the photo.
Very well done

Quite simply sublimates, as well by the decoration as by the stereotype! Cheer

Hi Scott,
Great depth to this photo. And the colours in the sky are fantastic very moody. This is one of the best landscapes I've seen in a while.

Excellent photo Scott, your composition makes the landscape look really appealing, with these little islands of land around the lake shore. This also gives your photo a great feeling of depth, drawing the eye on to the distant mountain. Very well done.

Great shot, Scott.
Nice composition and the exposure is well balanced. Details are perfectly sharp.
