Photographer’s Note
What a rain cloud does when it runs out of water...It drops a hose and sucks up some more ;-)
A waterspout/tornado touches down on the bay side of Galveston Island. They are a common sight during the summer but seldom cause damage because they usually stay over water. But it can be a little unnerving to be fishing from a small boat and look up to see one moving in your direction. A waterspout is an awesome sight when you're on the Bay. You have to look almost straight up to see the top.

Uaaau, it's a big chance to take a photo of such a destructive event! Very good :)

Hello Jim,
a terrifying sight, I had never seen one of them. Some years ago there was one in Milan (150 km from here) and caused a lot of damages. For me it is incredible that people can get accustomed with these things and to consider them quite normal...
Take care,
Violetta

Hi Jim,
Excellent shot and it`s really too dificult to shot such an event at the right time, but you did it! Very good dark colors which contribute to the atmoshpere.
Thanks
Rossy
