Photographer’s Note
Taken at Allaire State Park in central New Jersey. The park contains several ponds and hiking trails, as well as the historic village of Allaire. It provides a glimpse into 19th century living in the United States, with row homes, a blacksmith, a slaughterhouse, chapel, tinsmith, a carpenter house, bakery, apothecary shop, etc. Historic interpreters dress in period clothing and work in many of the buildings to further the experience.
