Hi Jim,
I like the way you caught this bird, the framing and the way the subject is underlines by the blurred shallow DOF. The contrast between the heron and the industrial (?) facilities in the background is also interesting to me.

Fantastic light, Jim! Very well composed, cropped and focused. Sharp Sharp Sharp! To me the most important part about a bird photo is seeing the eyes and you captured that very well. Well done!
