Photographer’s Note
Again I found myself without a tripod at night. So I climbed over a gaurd rail to balance my camera on a little concrete ledge. I have wanted to take a good photo of the black steel bridge for a while but it is so ugly that I have failed lots of times. Tonight was different. The bridge itself was built in 1912 and carries a lot of different kinds of traffic. On the top deck there are four car lanes, two pedestrian lanes, and two rail lines. The lower section carries freight rail and passenger rail too and another dedicated bike and pedestrian walkway.
