Photographer’s Note
Salt Point State Park offers some of the most amazing coastal geology in Sonoma County and suffice to say is popular with photographers. The offshore seahaze helped to prevent the amazing light I was hoping for at sunset but the crashing waves put on quite a performance and made it all worth the effort.

A sunset photo, but different, I like the perfect seaside stillness mood, the soft colors and the choice of the perspective. Also the stone texture and the horizont colors are great.

Hi Mike,
You've got the right POV here but the light and sky just didn't turn out as you wanted. Definitely worth another visit as you can already see what this will give you. You'll get something great here if you keep at it.
PS: Provided you don't put yourself at risk don't hesitate to clean up the various bits of flotsam and jetsam in the shot. It'll make your photo better and clean up the beach at the same time :)
Cheers!
Bob G.
