Hello John,
A good portrayal of such a sad yet heroic place, this shows the care and honour people are capable of in difficult times. The breathing apparatus to the side shows us a relic of times of hardship and struggle. Very thought provoking, the moment that stopped the world.

Hi John,
A poignant reminder of the tragic loss of life and a well written note explaining exactly what we are seeing.
Regarding the image itself: It reminds me of a Jasper Johns painting with the two stars & Stripes on top of each other. Do you know the painting I mean? In the painting there were actually three stars & stripes on top of each other with each one smaller than the one below. I also agree with you on the addition of the gas-mask, it adds a personal element to the composition and it's nicely placed in the bottom corner of your frame too.
Regards,
Rich
Hi John,
The flag of USA resemble to the flag of Malaysia, good composition to record the sad history, wish no war since that.

Hi John,
This flag bears more signification than ever before, when innocent victims are represented by the Stars and Stripes. In time of war, like Iwo Jima or Vietnam, it was about patriotism, but here, it’s about mourning.
People around the world might see american flag as the icon of imperialism, but after 9/11, everyone was behind USA. This image is a reminder of this human tragedy.
Cheers!
