this is Turnigan Arm of Alaska's Cook Inlet in February.
Here, in summer, we counted beluga whales.
I wonder, where they stay in winter... Doesn't look like a nice place to live when it's covered with ice like that.
Although, it is known that belugas can be found in places with ice density up to 98%. can you believe it? |
