| I'm getting ready for the monsoon season to start here in Southern Arizona, as the temperatures are soaring (it will be over 100 this weekend) and they are the best relief. The shot was taken from Gates Pass, overlooking the Altar valley and into the Tohono O'odham Nation. The desert at this time of year looks very green (it is the wettest desert on Earth) and inviting. |

Seeing the rains approach in this manner reminds me of the summers I spent camping in the west years ago. The mt range still casts its edge in silhouette while the rains enter the valley. I would like to see the slight tilt (?) corrected and wonder what it would look like with just a bit of something to set the scale of what I am looking at. I assume those are houses. Appauld your efforts to get out your camera at a time like this.
