Photographer’s Note
Norris Geyser Basin at Yellowstone National Park. I went to Yellowstone and Grand Teton this year in late April. Most parts of the 2 Parks still closed. The road from Yellowstone to Grand Teton was closed, so instead of traveling about 26 miles we ended up travel about 120 miles from Yellowstone to see Grand Teton. Although 1/2 of the Yellowstone was closed but I love it. It was like my family had the park by ourself. The Hotel was amazingly cheap, no traffic, and the best is complete silent though out the park.

Hi Phuoc,
I'm surprised..only 1 critique over 218 visits..uhmmm....
anyway..excellent shot, the lighting was great that day and you've managed to capture it very well..compo is well balanced with the geyser showing off its power and the background with the trees and that amazing sky is really really beautiful!!

Hi Phouc,
What a wonderful, other-worldly picture with the steaming pool, the reflection, the geyser and the bluest sky. The framing is amazing with those twin plumes of steam curling like ram's horns into the sky. I also like the nice diagonal of evergreens as well.
I'll have to try Yellowstone in the winter again. About 10 years ago it buzzed like an angry hive of hornets from the snowmobiles. I think I heard that Bill Clinton signed sometning that restricted them; you note makes it sound like the ban held. I'll be back.
HLJ, Pat
