There isn't anywhere in Vermont where you can go and not see beautiful mountains. The mountains in summer are covered with lush greenery hense the state is called "The Green Mountain State". This photo was taken while I was biking on the Stowe Bike path, which is a 5 mile path leading around Stowe Village through the woods, besides pastures, over rivers and streams. The view, a cornfield mowed down in the fall which of course will be reseeded in the spring, in the distance Mount Mansfield the highest peak in Vermont at 4,393 feet. You can see that the ski trails of Stowe Mountain are still snow covered at at the time I took the photo they were still opened for business.

Thanks so much for your visit to my gallery and your comments on my photos .

a nice country shot Donna,
o very good pov, a shame by a short like this that you have not a super wide lens. 10-22 , I think it could do magic by a shot like this, good photojob anyway.

Hi Donna,

this view reminds me of the area where I live, there are green hills and in the background you see the snow-covered mountains. I like the composition with the fence, it looks so western-styled.

Hi Donna!

The title you have chosen makes justice to your image, it is full of beauty, well composed, with a very well seen detail in the foreground that gives depth to your image.
Congratulations!

Cheers and thank you for your words about my last picture!

Take care!

Miguel

Hello Donna,
The early spring is well depicted here!
The vegetation is still marked by the winter, and the snow is still present in the mountains...
Well composed vista, wise to include the fence poles as foreground interest!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Donna,

A nice photo of the field and of the mountains under a beautiful blue sky, the photo has a good composition, DOF and nice colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre

Nice.... No wonder you like to go back there. This is not quite like southern Ontario, is it? (^_^)

Donna,
A nice Vermont picture. I think it is a beautiful state, and these mountains look great in your compo.
The image is balanced, I like too tones of the foreground.
Nice,
Regards,
JB.

Hello Donna,
a very nice landscape view of Vermont with this splendid snowy Mt as background.A multi leyer capture.I like this low POV with this huge perspective view.Wonderful sky, great sharpness,a superb capture.Well done.
Regards,Danos

Hi Donna! Wow, I have never seen this view with snow, but many times without. Beautiful it is and another way to show the "Green Mountain State", still rather empty before the green finally comes back. We visited the ski lifts but nobody was there in summer, just us (which I found special too). Excellent approach with the mowed cornfield serving as your entry point, ending up with the mountains in the far distance. Well seen. Barbara.

Compared to the stone wall, this one has a much better sharpness and better colors thanks to the different light. But the sharpness is imoprtant in my opinion for close-up as in the stone wall picture, whereas it would have been slightly less important here since the depth of field in much more important.

All the best,

Emmanuel
