Photographer’s Note
Just back from Uncle Sam's, then in Savannah for a day of busy stuff. A brief respite in the evening in and around Savannah downtown area.
[Sorry folks, I will be back to TE more regularly in a week or so]

Contrast with pair of legsss...ha ha ha...but the bike on the left side of the shot disturbs your composition Ray Sahib.

Desesperate move like the ultimate endeavor of the centerfield to kick the ball passing too quickly into the goal. I think she was too fast, when they got these legs they're fast enough. The timing is good but someone's too fast.
Perhaps a 35mm would have saved your life showing more of the driver's profile and framing her on the back side, like real stalkers like to frame fast legged girls.
Good try but I still think something is missing.

Animesh,
Nice to see you back on TE. I like the timing of this and the way you have framed the lady walking. I like the mirror and the slight profile of the driver ( i agree more would have been better) Not sure about the arch of the window though.
Cheers
Peter

Well, the horse didn't miss her did he? Interesting, while I was riding to and from the city with a friend of mine I hung out the window and tried to get some photos...I think most just missed the mark. Much like Winogrands last work, the car adds a new dimension of movement and it can be quite hard to correspond the two. THe contrast with the old school (horse and buggy) and the new school (car windows and mirror)help this photo along. I to wish we could see the woman a little more, but...maybe that is the mystery of the photo and maybe one of the more attractive aspects.
Regards friend,
Chris.
When are you going to make your way to the Washington area?

hi animesh,
what a treasure this photo would be if...a shutter had worked with higher speed... so well seen, so cleverly "arranged" on a fly...hard to fix all the settings in such a fraction of a second, yes, but it counts...
best wishes, j.

Hi Animesh
Interesting b&w shot out the car window. Great view of Savannah. A but more of the driver would have been nice but a fine scene you have set. Well done.

Just got back from Vietnam today and feeling a little...crazy.

one of those "almost" shots... you know the one where a few things different (each just subtle in itself) make the difference between an ok/good photo and an outstanding one.. more of the driver's profile, no side mirror to obstruct the horse's leg or better yet, the horse and the woman a half an inch more to the left and you'd have a great one imo..

Dear Animesh...
I love this picture...Tremendously...
Call me an urban junkie...Call me anything you want...I love it !
I love it so much I won't complain about certain aspects of 'not so perfect ' presentation (the middle - upper part of it...Diabolically burnt, it's so easy to correct this...a little!).
No...I won't be picky...These little things only add some flavor to this one of a kind, 'on impulse' shot...
I know - You didn't plan that way (nobody in the world would!), you didn't see back then - neither that lady in between nor the incoming head of a horse, yet...You found it attractive enough, or - should I say: unique enough to post it...!
And glory on high for this, pal.
A timely shot. A shot that comes once in a life time...
Against my principals of what a good photography should be... Contrary to all of MY logics...I go for the heart...With a great enthusiasm...
It's like LOTTO jackpot...
Deserved or not... I TAKE IT..!!!! (:-))))))))))))))

Have a great WE, AR
