Photographer’s Note

Sorry about the delay in posting, it was nothing but laziness on my part.
This was taken during a hike to the Table Mountain close to Chico. This time of the year this place generally bursts with wild flower but short lived winter season left the terrain with less water reserve and thus less color. This time I went for a hike to explore a part of this mountain which is less travelled and more exiting. I hope to present some of the shots of this hike. Unfortunately the sky was not that great and thus you'll see a bit of dull sky here and there.

I think this one is a better image than the one you last posted on TL. The rocks and the greenery make an interesting contrast. The yellow of the flowers strengthen the idea. Perhaps you could have kept all of the tree inside the frame. Good photograph nonetheless.

Hi Pranab. The dullness of the sky was adequately compensated by the greenness of the land. The brownish patches did add beauty to the shot. TFS. Regards.

Hi Pranab,
Good landscape and slopes with added dark colour rocks. Contrast and sharpness is good at low levels.

Hi Pranab - pretty colors in this shot, there is a kind of curved slope that gives a special feeling when looking... the tree on right nicely breaks the sky strip... well done, Daniel

Hello Pranab,
A spring-like compo with the dandelions among the grass which create a nice visual effect. Light is very nice and I like the soft blue color of the sky which contrast nicely to the rock formation and green meadow.

Hi Pranab,
Nice framing; I like the poppies against California's 15 minutes of spring green. Actually I think you did a good job to maintain any color in the sky. My Nova Scotia cousinbs are with me in the car as we drive past Mt Shasta and the comment about this picture was, "Oh, isn't that pretty !!"

I've been off TE too for a while. Not laziness though! What I like about this one is the great range of green and brown and the slope of the land with the sole tree on it. The carpet of flowers adds delicacy. I wonder if you have a circular polariser; it might have given you a deeper sky in this shot. Worth getting one if you don't have one.

Pleasant view you bring us, with excellent light and colour management.
I like this tree on the right side of the image giving it some verticality and contrasting with the other elements of the photo.

I think that there is a problem with the sharpness. Anyway, a good composition with nice colours.
But, after all, for me is too much important the problem with the sharpness (maybe is only a problem of my monitor).
