The foothills to the east of the Rocky Mountains in this area are referred to as the "Front Range". This shot was taken in Glacier National Park, a short distance south of the Canada border. This area is relatively sparsely populated and offers unbounded views of the mountains to the west and the high plains to the east. The area abounds with wild life, including moose, elk, grizzly bear, mule deer and a host of other critters. A visit is almost certain to yeild wonderful shots and memories.

Lovely composition.I just wish that had you captured the shot frojm the middle of the road.I always prefer this kind of shot with the road going deep and lost in the surroundins of nature.

Oh, Ned, this is gorgeous! I love that curving road leading the eye in and the way the light hits that far mountain top. The colors and contrast are wonderful. This is a great shot!! All the best,
