I (heart) NYC

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Here's a shot from my first day in NYC this Easter Weekend. I was going to ask the gentleman to take his photo but in the end I just put my camera up and shot. The sticker was in the perfect position with his gaze after I waited for the right moment when he finally looked up.
NYC is a great place, it really is. It's such a happening place and there are so many different people and friendly so far. I think it's pretty obvious that they're proud, and they should be.
This man is just cought in a moment of thought but he does represent many people in his city, people who are integrated but from different parts of the world, people who all share a connection to New York, that was forever made stronger on 9/11. |

Hello Nick,
I like your presentation of this very common sight here in NYC. There are so many things crowded into this tight space that your choice of B/W is perfect. I think it was the right choice to capture this man in a more candid pose instead of looking at the camera, and of course it was lucky to have the I love NY stickers right up front. :-) I am glad you are enjoying your visit so far!

Nice one. You really feel like seeing without being seen. Bw gives a nice feeling to it too.
Good work!
