[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Trekkers,
Galveston Island is riddled with wetlands that are the hatchery and nursery areas for many fishes, shrimps, crabs, reptiles, mammals, etc. They are also the wintering site for a multitude of ducks and other birds. This estuary on any given day during winter is the feeding grounds for hundreds of ducks many of which summer here also. The photo lacks quality but it shows a part of Galveston Island very seldom seen by tourists. Much effort is being made to protect these wetlands but over development is slowly destroying them.

Till next time,
Jim
