Seattle From Gas Works Park
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is Seattle as seen early in the morning from Gas Works Park. The body of water is Lake Union - a small lake that is connected to Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean through the Ballard Locks.
This area is a great place to people watch early in the morning with tons of rowers and other boats passing in the morning.
There is an amazing transformation in the morning while watching the sunrise. For photographers, it's too fast and you can never shoot all that you want to - it's always changing. I usually miss the sunrise when I'm in my daily routine - but seeing it every once in a while really opens my eyes to the cycle of time and nature. |

Hi Brian,
Lovely shot with beautiful colours and superb reflections. Very nice.
Cheers,
Debbie
Hello Brian,
The composition is well balanced with the Space Needle positioned nicely on the far right. The long exposure created a sublime glassy effect on the water that is well seen.
Well done!
Doug
Great night shot with a fantastic lanscape , compliments good lights management composition and POV , really well done.
Stefano.
I stood from about this same place and took some images at night as well, but none came out anything close to as good looking as this one (of course I didn't have a tripod either, but thought I'd give it a try anyways). Anyways, an excellent exposure here with great color and detail in the towers ahead.

Impressive shot. Exposure is right on. Color tones and sharpness (so far that I can see from this rather small version), also.
Cheers, Ioanna
